Abstract
One embodiment provides a method, including: obtaining EEG data from one or more single channel EEG sensor worn by a user; classifying, using a processor, the EEG data as one of nominal and abnormal; and providing an indication associated with a classification of the EEG data. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
Claims17
An electroencephalogram (EEG) monitoring system comprising:
- four discrete unitary wireless EEG sensors configured to be placed in first, second, third, and fourth locations spaced around a patient's scalp and configured to each collect an EEG signal;
- and
- a non-transitory computer readable medium storing instructions that, when executed by at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to:
- automatically create 10-channels from the EEG signals including a channel from each of the four locations, and additional channels by, for each sensor, subtracting its corresponding EEG signal from the corresponding EEG signal of the remaining sensors to create a longitudinal transverse montage;
- detect a seizure event based on the longitudinal transverse montage;
- and
- provide information associated with the seizure event.
A method for monitoring electroencephalogram (EEG) comprising:
- collecting EEG signals from four discrete wireless unitary EEG sensors placed on a patient' scalp;
- transmitting the EEG signals to a remote device;
- and
- with the remote device:
- automatically creating a 10-channel longitudinal transverse montage from the EEG signals by bipolar derivation and, for each sensor, subtracting its corresponding EEG signal from the corresponding EEG signal of the remaining sensors to create the longitudinal transverse montage;
- detecting a seizure event based on the longitudinal transverse montage;
- and
- providing information associated with the seizure event, wherein providing information comprises displaying at least one EEG signal of the EEG signals.
A non-transitory computer readable medium storing instructions that, when executed by at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to:
- automatically create 10-channels from electroencephalogram (EEG) signals collected by four discrete unitary wireless EEG sensors in communication with the at least one processor and configured to be placed in first, second, third, and fourth locations spaced around a patient's scalp by, for each sensor, subtracting the corresponding EEG signal of the sensor from the corresponding EEG signal of the remaining sensors to create a longitudinal transverse montage;
- detect a seizure event based on the longitudinal transverse montage;
- and
- provide information associated with the seizure event.
