Abstract
A milker unit short milk tube having a downstream milk claw connection end having a position and release device joined to and extending away from the downstream milk claw connection end; a controlled flexible portion disposed in an upstream direction from the position and release device; a reinforced portion disposed in upstream direction from the controlled flexible portion; and an interior milking claw inlet sealing surface.

A milker unit short milk tube comprising:
- an outer wall surface;
- an inner wall surface defining a milk passage having an upstream direction and a downstream direction;
- a downstream milk claw connection end including a position and release device;
- and
- a tubular inlet contact portion adjacent to the position and release device, the tubular inlet contact portion constructed and arranged to extend around a milking claw inlet of a milking claw during milking operations,
- wherein the position and release device is compressible in the downstream direction to outwardly expand the tubular inlet contact portion of the short milk tube away from the milking claw inlet during a removal procedure.

A milker unit short milk tube, comprising:
- an inner wall surface defining a milk passage having an upstream direction and a downstream direction;
- and
- a tubular inlet contact portion constructed and arranged to extend around a milking claw inlet of a milking claw during milking operations,
- wherein the short milk tube is compressible in the downstream direction to outwardly expand the tubular inlet contact portion of the short milk tube away from the milking claw inlet during a removal procedure and to break an adherence with the milking claw inlet, thereby aiding in a release of the short milk tube from the milking claw.
