Floor cleaning machine

A floor cleaning machine for cleaning a surface, the floor cleaning machine comprising:

• a base including a suction nozzle and a distribution nozzle;
• a handle pivotably coupled to the base, the handle pivotable relative to the base about a pivot axis, the handle including a motor housing having a cylindrical portion and the pivot axis extends through the motor housing;
• a supply tank assembly coupled to the handle in fluid communication with the distribution nozzle;
• a suction motor assembly in the motor housing, the suction motor assembly in fluid communication with the suction nozzle, the suction motor assembly operable to draw fluid and dirt from the surface through the suction nozzle;
• a recovery tank coupled to the handle in fluid communication with the suction motor assembly to receive and store fluid and dirt drawn through the suction nozzle;
• and
• an expandable hose fluidly communicating the recovery tank and the suction nozzle, wherein the hose is in an expanded configuration when the handle is pivoted about the pivot axis to a reclined position, wherein the hose is in a retracted configuration when the handle is pivoted about the pivot axis to a substantially upright position, and wherein the hose at least partially wraps around a top of the cylindrical portion of the motor housing in the expanded configuration.
