Abstract
Biomarkers are provided that are associated with or predictive of a subject's responsiveness to a JAK inhibitor. The biomarkers, compositions, and methods described herein are useful in selecting appropriate treatment modalities for a subject having, suspected of having, or at risk of developing vitiligo.
Claims8
A method of treating a human subject having, suspected of having, or at risk of developing vitiligo, comprising:
- measuring in a biological sample obtained from the human subject a reduced concentration, as compared to a control, of at least one protein selected from the group consisting of SCF, CPA2, P4HB, SPARCL1, ST2, SCF, CNDP1, TRAIL, KIRREL2, EGFR, ISLR2, PPP3R1, FCGR3B, MMP-3, IL-18BP, Flt3L, PPY, LTA4H, ITGB2, PTN, GPNMB, SIRPB1, PLTP, PSP-D, COMP, PAMR1, VASN, F11, IL10, CA3, CXCL10, Notch 3, NCAM1, PROC, CLEC14A, IL-12B, IL10, CD40, and IFN-gamma, and/or an increased concentration, as compared to a control, of at least one protein selected from the group consisting of SERPINA12, GHRL, PREB, IL-20RA, and PON2;
- and
- administering a JAK inhibitor to the human subject;
- wherein the JAK inhibitor is ruxolitinib, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
