Abstract
A lighting control system for controlling a cumulative light emitted by a lighting fixture having a plurality of LED light sources may comprise a plurality of LED drivers adapted to be coupled to a respective one of the LED light sources and configured to control an intensity of the respective LED light source, and a controller configured to transmit a single digital message for controlling the cumulative light emitted by the lighting fixture. Each of the plurality of LED drivers is configured to adjust the intensity of the respective LED light source to a preset intensity in response to the single digital message transmitted by the controller.
Claims18
A lighting controller, comprising:
- control circuitry to:
- receive, the via first communication interface circuitry, a first message from a system controller, the first message including link address data and fixture command data;
- determine if the received link address data corresponds to link address data assigned to the control circuitry and stored in communicatively coupled memory circuitry;
- and
- responsive to the determination that the link address data included in the first message corresponds to the stored link address data assigned to the control circuitry, determine if the fixture command data included in the first message corresponds to fixture preset command data stored in the memory circuitry;
- responsive to the determination that the received fixture command data corresponds favorably to fixture preset command data stored in the memory circuitry:
- retrieve a respective light-emitting diode (LED) driver preset command for each of a plurality of communicatively coupled LED driver circuits from the memory circuitry, the retrieved LED driver preset commands corresponding to the received fixture preset command data;
- and
- cause a communication, via second communication interface circuitry, of a second message that includes the retrieved preset command data to respective ones of the plurality of communicatively coupled LED driver circuits.
A non-transitory, machine-readable, storage device that includes instructions that, when executed by lighting fixture control circuitry, cause the lighting fixture control circuitry to:
- receive, via first communication interface circuitry, a first message from a system controller, the first message including link address data and fixture command data;
- determine if the received link address data corresponds to link address data assigned to the control circuitry and stored in communicatively coupled memory circuitry;
- and
- responsive to the determination that the link address data included in the first message corresponds to the stored link address data assigned to the control circuitry, determine if the fixture command data included in the first message corresponds to fixture preset command data stored in the memory circuitry;
- responsive to the determination that the received fixture command data corresponds favorably to fixture preset command data stored in the memory circuitry:
- retrieve a respective light-emitting diode (LED) driver preset command for each of a plurality of communicatively coupled LED driver circuits from the memory circuitry, the retrieved LED driver preset commands corresponding to the received fixture preset command data;
- and
- cause a communication, via second communication interface circuitry, of a second message that includes the retrieved preset command data to respective ones of the plurality of communicatively coupled LED driver circuits.
A method of controlling an output of a lighting fixture, the method comprising:
- receiving, via first communication interface circuitry by lighting fixture control circuitry, a first message from a system controller, the first message including link address data and fixture command data;
- determining, by the lighting fixture control circuitry, if the received link address data corresponds to link address data assigned to the control circuitry and stored in communicatively coupled memory circuitry;
- and
- responsive to the determination that the link address data included in the first message corresponds to the stored link address data assigned to the control circuitry, determining, by the lighting fixture control circuitry, if the fixture command data included in the first message corresponds to fixture preset command data stored in the memory circuitry;
- responsive to the determination that the received fixture command data corresponds favorably to fixture preset command data stored in the memory circuitry:
- retrieving, by the lighting fixture control circuitry, a respective light-emitting diode (LED) driver preset command for each of a plurality of communicatively coupled LED driver circuits from the memory circuitry, the retrieved LED driver preset commands corresponding to the received fixture preset command data;
- and
- causing, by the lighting fixture control circuitry, a communication of a second message that includes the retrieved preset command data to respective ones of the plurality of communicatively coupled LED driver circuits via second communication interface circuitry.
