A pharmaceutical syrup formulation for oral administration comprising:
- (a) acetaminophen,
- (b) agave syrup, and
- (c) a diluent, wherein the syrup formulation has a viscosity of less than 1500 centipoise at about 22 degrees;
- wherein the acetaminophen is suspended in the syrup;
- and wherein the syrup is palatable.

- (c) acidic preservative;
- (d) a flavoring agent, and
