Abstract
Disclosed is a box, a modular box assembly, and a method of assembling a box. The box can comprise a center panel defining a first side, a second side opposite the first side, a first end, and a second end opposite the first end; a first locking panel extending from the first side, the first locking panel comprising a pair of wings, each of the wings defining a locking slot; a second locking panel extending from the second side, the second locking panel comprising a pair of locking tabs, each of the locking tabs engaging a corresponding one of the locking slots; a first side flap panel extending from the first end; and a second side flap panel extending from the second end.
Claims16
A box comprising:
- a center panel defining a first side, a second side opposite the first side, a first end, and a second end opposite the first end;
- a first locking panel extending from the first side, the first locking panel comprising a pair of wings, each of the wings defining a locking slot;
- a second locking panel extending from the second side, the second locking panel comprising a pair of locking tabs, each of the locking tabs engaging a corresponding one of the locking slots;
- a first side flap panel extending from the first end;
- and
- a second side flap panel extending from the second end;
- wherein each of the first and second side flap panels defines a cut out, and each of the locking tabs engages a corresponding one of the cut outs.
A modular box assembly comprising:
- a box configurable in an expanded configuration and a collapsed configuration, the box defining a box cavity and a box top;
- an inner box received in the box cavity, the inner box comprising a center panel, a first locking panel, and a second locking panel, the first locking panel defining a locking slot, the second locking panel comprising a locking tab engaging the locking slot;
- and
- an insulating liner received in the box cavity and surrounding the inner box, wherein the inner box engages the insulating liner, the insulating liner suspends the inner box within the box cavity proximate to the box top, and the box cavity is configured to receive contents between the insulating liner and the inner box.
