Systems and methods for generating dynamic annotations

A system for managing media content annotations, the system comprising:

• control circuitry;
• and
• an output device coupled to the control circuitry,
• wherein the control circuitry is configured to:
• identify a media content item and a user entity;
• identify a plurality of annotations stored in metadata associated with the media content item, wherein each of the plurality of annotations is based on content and a title of the media content item, and wherein each of the plurality of annotations is generated from a title template;
• and
• wherein the output device is configured to:
• generate a first interface including a first representation of the media content item and at least one of:
• a title of the media content item,
• an annotation based on metadata about the media content item,
• a closed caption annotation,
• a description of the media content item,
• information about an entity that posted the media content item,
• a period of time corresponding to a time since the media content item was posted, or
• a number of times the media content item was viewed;
• and
• after generating the first interface, select at least one second annotation from the plurality of annotations based on user profile information linked to the user entity, and generate a second interface, the second interface including the representation of the media content item and the at least one second annotation, wherein the second annotation is substantively similar to at least one portion of the first representation of the media content item.
