Abstract
Systems and methods are disclosed for securely identifying a computing device via a web browser utilizing a customized digital font. In particular, in one or more embodiments, the disclosed systems and methods generate a customized digital font and install the customized digital font on a computing device. Moreover, the disclosed systems and methods utilize the customized digital font to identify the computing device. In particular, one or more embodiments include systems and methods that identify an element of a webpage rendered by the computing device utilizing the customized digital font and identify the client device based on the rendered element of the webpage.
Claims20
A system comprising:
- at least one hardware processor configured to cause the system to:
- maintain a database correlating a plurality of authorized client devices to a plurality of customized unique digital fonts, wherein each of the plurality of customized unique digital fonts comprises a title, and the title for each of the plurality of customized unique digital fonts is identical;
- and
- authenticate a requesting device by causing the system to:
- send computer-executable instructions to the requesting device to render an element via a web browser utilizing a customized unique digital font from the plurality of customized unique digital fonts;
- detect the element rendered by the requesting device in response to executing the computer-executable instructions by causing the system to:
- capture an image of the element rendered by the requesting device via the web browser;
- analyze the image of the element rendered by the web browser of the requesting device;
- identify characters from the image of the element rendered by the requesting device via the web browser by utilizing an optical character recognition algorithm;
- and
- determine that the requesting device is an authorized client device from the plurality of authorized client devices based on the element rendered by the requesting device being in one of the customized unique digital font of the plurality of customized unique digital fonts.
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium having stored thereon instructions that, when executed by at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to:
- maintain a database correlating a plurality of authorized client devices to a plurality of customized unique digital fonts, wherein each of the plurality of customized unique digital fonts comprises a title, and the title for each of the plurality of customized unique digital fonts is identical;
- and
- authenticate a requesting device by:
- sending computer-executable instructions to the requesting device to render an element via a web browser utilizing a customized unique digital font from the plurality of customized unique digital fonts;
- detecting the element rendered by the requesting device in response to executing the computer-executable instructions by:
- capturing an image of the element rendered by the requesting device via the web browser;
- analyzing the image of the element rendered by the web browser of the requesting device;
- identifying characters from the image of the element rendered by the requesting device via the web browser by utilizing an optical character recognition algorithm;
- and
- determining that the requesting device is an authorized client device from the plurality of authorized client devices based on the element rendered by the requesting device being in one of the customized unique digital font of the plurality of customized unique digital fonts.
In a digital medium environment for managing digital assets, a method of utilizing electronic fonts to securely identify and authenticate computing devices seeking to access digital assets, comprising:
- associating a plurality of authorized digital accounts to a plurality of customized unique digital fonts, wherein each of the plurality of customized unique digital fonts comprises a title, and the title for each of the plurality of customized unique digital fonts is identical;
- and
- authenticate a requesting device by:
- sending computer-executable instructions to the requesting device to render an element via a web browser utilizing a customized unique digital font from the plurality of customized unique digital fonts;
- capturing an image of the element rendered by the requesting device via the web browser;
- analyzing the image of the element rendered by the web browser of the requesting device:
- identifying characters from the image of the element rendered by the requesting device via the web browser to render the element utilizing a customized unique digital font from the plurality of customized unique digital fonts by utilizing an optical character recognition algorithm;
- and
- determining that the requesting device corresponds to an authorized digital account from the plurality of authorized digital accounts based on the element rendered by the requesting device in response to executing the computer-executable instructions being in the customized unique digital font of the plurality of customized unique digital fonts.
