Coordinated monitoring of legacy output devices

A method comprising:

• for each mediation service of a plurality of mediation services executing on a plurality of computing devices, receiving, over one or more computer networks, a list of multiple output devices from said each mediation service;
• wherein a first list from a first mediation service of the plurality of mediation services identifies a particular output device;
• wherein a second list from a second mediation service, of the plurality of mediation services, that is different than the first mediation service, identifies the particular output device;
• based on the list from each mediation service of the plurality of mediation services, generating a mapping that maps each output device, of a plurality of output devices, to a list of mediation services;
• transmitting, over the one or more computer networks, to the first and second mediation services, the mapping pertaining to the particular output device;
• wherein the method is performed by one or more computing devices.

One or more storage media storing instructions which, when executed by one or more processors, cause:

• for each mediation service of a plurality of mediation services executing on a plurality of computing devices, receiving, over one or more computer networks, a list of multiple output devices from said each mediation service;
• wherein a first list from a first mediation service of the plurality of mediation services identifies a particular output device;
• wherein a second list from a second mediation service, of the plurality of mediation services, that is different than the first mediation service, identifies the particular output device;
• based on the list from each mediation service of the plurality of mediation services, generating a mapping that maps each output device, of a plurality of output devices, to a list of mediation services;
• transmitting, over the one or more computer networks, to the first and second mediation services, the mapping pertaining to the particular output device.
