Sidelink coordination for power control

An apparatus for wireless communication at a first user equipment (UE), comprising:

• a processor;
• and memory coupled to the processor, the processor configured to:
• determine a target receive power corresponding to communication between the first UE and a network entity, wherein the first UE is within a coverage area of the network entity;
• transmit an indication of the target receive power to a second UE, wherein the second UE uses the target receive power to adjust a first power control parameter;
• and
• receive, from the second UE, a message based at least in part on a combination of the target receive power with a second power control parameter.

An apparatus for wireless communication at a first user equipment (UE), comprising:

• means for determining a target receive power corresponding to communication between the first UE and a network entity, wherein the first UE is within a coverage area of the network entity;
• means for transmitting an indication of the target receive power to a second UE, wherein the second UE uses the target receive power to adjust a first power control parameter;
• and
• means for receiving, from the second UE, a message based at least in part on a combination of the target receive power with a second power control parameter.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing code for wireless communication at a first user equipment (UE), the code comprising instructions executable by a processor to:

• determine a target receive power corresponding to communication between the first UE and a network entity, wherein the first UE is within a coverage area of the network entity;
• transmit an indication of the target receive power to a second UE, wherein the second UE uses the target receive power to adjust a first power control parameter;
• and
• receive, from the second UE, a message based at least in part on a combination of the target receive power with a second power control parameter.
