Abstract
Disclosed are methods, systems, and devices for management of a premises. The premises may comprise one or more devices, such as a gateway device, a control device, or a premises device. The gateway device may receive data and send the data to the control device. The data may comprise a command, an update, a configuration, or other information. Communication between the control device and any of the other devices at the premises may be configurable by a server device.
Claims28
A method comprising:
- determining, by a gateway device located at a premises and via a first wireless network located at the premises, an indication of a premises device located at the premises, wherein the premises device is configured to communicate, via the first wireless network, with a premises system located at the premises;
- determining, by the gateway device, a second wireless network located at the premises and having a security configuration;
- and
- causing, by the gateway device, the premises device to switch from the first wireless network to the second wireless network, wherein the gateway device facilitates, via the second wireless network, communication between the premises device and a computing device located external to the premises.
A gateway device comprising:
- one or more processors;
- and
- memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the device to:
- determine, at a premises and via a first wireless network located at the premises, an indication of a premises device located at the premises, wherein the premises device is configured to communicate, via the first wireless network, with a premises system located at the premises;
- determine a second wireless network located at the premises and having a security configuration;
- and
- cause the premises device to switch from the first wireless network to the second wireless network, wherein the gateway device facilitates, via the second wireless network, communication between the premises device and a computing device located external to the premises.
A system comprising:
- a computing device located external to a premises;
- and
- a gateway device located at the premises and configured to:
- determine, via a first wireless network located at the premises, an indication of a premises device located at the premises, wherein the premises device is configured to communicate, via the first wireless network, with a premises system located at the premises;
- determine a second wireless network located at the premises and having a security configuration;
- and
- cause the premises device to switch from the first wireless network to the second wireless network, wherein the gateway device facilitates, via the second wireless network, communication between the premises device and the computing device located external to the premises.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing computer-executable instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause:
- determining, by a gateway device located at a premises and via a first wireless network located at the premises, an indication of a premises device located at the premises, wherein the premises device is configured to communicate, via the first wireless network, with a premises system located at the premises;
- determining, by the gateway device, a second wireless network located at the premises and having a security configuration;
- and
- causing, by the gateway device, the premises device to switch from the first wireless network to the second wireless network, wherein the gateway device facilitates, via the second wireless network, communication between the premises device and a computing device located external to the premises.
