Automated link aggregation group configuration system

An Information Handling System (IHS), comprising:

• a processing system;
• and
• a memory system that is coupled to the processing system and that includes instructions that, when executed by the processing system, cause the processing system to provide a link aggregation configuration engine that is configured to:
• receive, from each of a plurality of networking devices that are managed by the Information Handling System (IHS), networked device information received in respective link aggregation communications that were each generated and transmitted by a networked device that is coupled to each of the plurality of networking devices via at least one respective link;
• determine, based on the networked device information, that each of the plurality of networking devices are coupled to the networked device;
• and
• send, to each of the plurality of networking devices, a link aggregation instruction that causes the at least one respective link that couples each of the plurality of networking devices to the networked device to be aggregated.

A method for automatically configuring a link aggregation, comprising:

• receiving, by a second networking device from each of a plurality of first networking devices that are managed by the second networking device, networked device information received in respective link aggregation communications that were each generated and transmitted by a networked device that is coupled to each of the plurality of first networking devices via at least one respective link;
• determining, by the second networking device based on the networked device information, that each of the plurality of first networking devices are coupled to the networked device;
• and
• sending, by the second networking device to each of the plurality of first networking devices, a link aggregation instruction that causes the at least one respective link that couples each of the plurality of first networking devices to the networked device to be aggregated.
