Abstract
Apparatus and methods are disclosed, including maintaining a first group of tagged data from a host device at contiguous physical locations on a group of non-volatile memory cells of a storage system during system management operations on the group of non-volatile memory cells including the first group of tagged data while the first group of tagged data remains stored on the storage system and prioritizing, in the storage system, commands associated with the first group of tagged data.
Claims23
A device comprising:
- a storage system comprising a memory controller and a group of non-volatile memory cells, configured to:
- maintain a first group of tagged data from a host device at contiguous physical locations on the group of non-volatile memory cells during system management operations on the group of non-volatile memory cells including the first group of tagged data while the first group of tagged data remains stored on the storage system;
- receive commands from the host processor, including a command associated with the first group of tagged data;
- and
- prioritize, in the received commands, the command associated with the first group of tagged data.
A method comprising:
- maintaining a first group of tagged data from a host device at contiguous physical locations on a group of non-volatile memory cells of a storage system during system management operations on the group of non-volatile memory cells including the first group of tagged data while the first group of tagged data remains stored on the storage system;
- receiving commands from the host processor at the storage system, including a command associated with the first group of tagged data;
- and
- prioritizing, in the received commands and by the storage system, the command associated with the first group of tagged data.
At least one non-transitory device-readable storage medium comprising instructions that, when executed by control circuitry of a storage system, cause the storage system to perform operations comprising:
- maintaining a first group of tagged data from a host device at contiguous physical locations on a group of non-volatile memory cells of a storage system during system management operations on the group of non-volatile memory cells including the first group of tagged data while the first group of tagged data remains stored on the storage system;
- receiving commands from the host processor at the storage system, including a command associated with the first group of tagged data;
- and
- prioritizing, in the received commands and by the storage system, the command associated with the first group of tagged data.
