Abstract
Systems, interfaces, and methods for implementing the systems and interfaces include a dynamic environment generation subsystem that changes objects and subobjects based on locations of the motion sensors and/or the nature, time and/or location of sensed motion and include selection attractive movement as the selection protocol, where a selection object is used to discriminate between selectable objects and attract a target object toward the selection objects, where the direction and speed of the motion controls, discriminates, attracts, and activates the selected objects.
Claims22
A apparatus comprising:
- an electronic system including at least one processor coupled to at least one input device, at least one motion sensing device, and at least one user feedback device,
- the at least one processor configured to:
- output, to the at least one user feedback device, a selection object and a plurality of selectable objects in a virtual reality (VR) or augmented reality (AR) environment;
- sense a first motion having one or more first motion properties;
- move the selection object in accord with the first motion and attract a set of selectable objects or a default collection of selectable objects towards the selection object, the set of selectable objects comprises selectable objects aligned or substantially aligned with the one or more first motion properties and the default collection of selectable objects comprises selectable objects that are pre-defined based on the one or more first motion properties;
- sense a second motion having one or more second motion properties;
- and
- sequentially or simultaneously, perform an action for each of the set of selectable objects or the default collection of selectable objects based, at least in part, on the second motion, wherein:
- when a selectable object from the set or default collection comprises a list, menu, or group of subobjects, then output the subobjects and scroll through the subobjects,
- when a selectable object from the set or default collection comprises an actionable object, then activate or launch the actionable object,
- when a selectable object from the set or default collection comprises an adjustable attribute, then adjust a value of an adjustable attribute,
- wherein the selectable objects and subobjects comprise a list, a menu, a group, an icon, an electrical device, a software system, a software product, or any combination thereof,
- wherein one, some or all the selectable objects include one or more adjustable attributes, and
- wherein one, some or all the subobjects include one or more adjustable attributes.
A method, implemented on an electronic system including at least one processor coupled to at least one input device, at least one motion sensing device, and at least one user feedback device, comprising:
- outputting, to the at least one user feedback device, a selection object and a plurality of selectable objects in a virtual reality (VR) or augmented reality (AR) environment;
- sensing a first motion having one or more first motion properties;
- moving the selection object in accord with the first motion and attracting a set of selectable objects or a default collection of selectable objects towards the selection object, the set of selectable objects comprises selectable objects aligned or substantially aligned with the one or more first motion properties and the default collection of selectable objects comprises selectable objects that are pre-defined based on the one or more first motion properties;
- sensing a second motion having one or more second motion properties;
- and
- sequentially or simultaneously, performing an action for each of the set of selectable objects or the default collection of selectable objects based, at least in part, on the second motion, wherein:
- when a selectable object from the set or default collection comprises a list, menu, or group of subobjects, then outputting the subobjects and scrolling through the subobjects,
- when a selectable object from the set or default collection comprises an actionable object, then activating or launching the actionable object,
- when a selectable object from the set or default collection comprises an adjustable attribute, then adjusting a value of an adjustable attribute,
- wherein the selectable objects and subobjects comprise a list, a menu, a group, an icon, an electrical device, a software system, a software product, or any combination thereof,
- wherein one, some or all the selectable objects include one or more adjustable attributes, and
- wherein one, some or all the subobjects include one or more adjustable attributes.
