Abstract
The invention provides a crystalline hydrochloride salt of 4-[2-(2,4,6-trifluorophenoxymethyl)phenyl]piperidine. This invention also provides pharmaceutical compositions comprising the crystalline salt, processes and intermediates for preparing the crystalline salt, and methods of using the crystalline salt to treat diseases.

A crystalline hydrochloride salt of 4-[2-(2,4,6-trifluoro-phenoxymethyl)phenyl]piperidine characterized by crystalline parameters at 294° K comprising:
- (i) a monoclinic crystalline system;
- (ii) a P21/C space group;
- and (iii) unit cell dimensions comprising:
- a=11.631 Å, b=7.057 Å, c=42.532 Å;
- and B=104.595°, A=C=90°.
A pharmaceutical composition comprising a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier and a crystalline hydrochloride salt of 4-[2-(2,4,6-trifluoro-phenoxymethyl)phenyl]piperidine characterized by crystalline parameters at 294° K comprising:
- (i) a monoclinic crystalline system;
- (ii) a P21/C space group;
- and (iii) unit cell dimensions comprising:
- a=11.631 Å, b=7.057 Å, c=42.532 Å;
- and B=104.595°, A=C=90°.
