Vaporizer power system

A method comprising:

• delivering, by a converter electrically coupled to a power source and to a heating element of a vaporizer atomizer, power from the power source to the heating element, the converter configured to receive a first voltage from the power source and provide, to the heating element, a second voltage to maintain the heating element at a target temperature, the converter including a direct-current to direct-current (DC-DC) converter control circuit configured to step up or step down the first voltage of the power source in order to provide the second voltage to the heating element, and the converter further including a pulse width modulation (PWM) control circuit configured to switch ON and OFF the first voltage from the power source at a variable duty cycle in order to provide the second voltage to the heating element;
• performing one or more measurements corresponding to a current temperature of the heating element;
• and selecting, based at least on a difference between the current temperature and the target temperature of the heating element, between the DC-DC converter control circuit and the PWM control circuit as an operating circuit for powering the heating element, wherein the operating circuit is the PWM control circuit when the first voltage modulated by the PWM control circuit operating at a maximum duty cycle is sufficient to achieve the target temperature of the heating element, and wherein the operating circuit is the DC-DC converter control circuit when the first voltage modulated by the PWM control circuit operating at the maximum duty cycle is not sufficient to achieve the target temperature of the heating element.

A method comprising:

• delivering, by a converter electrically coupled to a power source and to a heating element of a vaporizer atomizer, power from the power source to the heating element, the converter configured to receive a first voltage from the power source and provide, to the heating element, a second voltage to maintain the heating element at a target temperature, the converter including a direct-current to direct-current (DC-DC) converter control circuit configured to step up or step down the first voltage of the power source in order to provide the second voltage to the heating element, and the converter further including a pulse width modulation (PWM) control circuit configured to switch ON and OFF the first voltage from the power source at a variable duty cycle in order to provide the second voltage to the heating element;
• measuring a duty cycle of the PWM control circuit required to achieve the target temperature of the heating element;
• and
• selecting, based at least on the duty cycle of the PWM control circuit, between the DC-DC converter control circuit and the PWM control circuit as an operating circuit for powering the heating element, the DC-DC converter control circuit being selected as the operating circuit when the duty cycle required to achieve the target temperature exceeds a maximum duty cycle of the PWM control circuit, and the PWM control circuit being selected as the operating circuit when the duty cycle required to achieve the target temperature of the heating element does not exceed the maximum duty cycle of the PWM control circuit.
