Abstract
The present specification relates to (S)-2-(1-(5-(cyclohexylcarbamoyl)-6-(propylthio)pyridin-2-yl)piperidin-3-yl)acetic acid (AZD4017), or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, for oral use in the treatment or prophylaxis of wounds, for example in diabetic patients. Methods of treatment and prophylaxis and the use of the compound in the preparation of a medicament for the treatment and prophylaxis of wounds are also provided.

A method of treatment of skin wounds comprising orally administering an effective amount of (S)-2-(1-(5-(cyclohexylcarbamoyl)-6-(propylthio)pyridin-2-yl)piperidin-3-yl)acetic acid, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, to a patient in need thereof.
A pharmaceutical composition for oral administration comprising (S)-2-(1-(5-(cyclohexylcarbamoyl)-6-(propylthio)pyridin-2-yl)piperidin-3-yl)acetic acid, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and at least one pharmaceutically acceptable excipient for use in a method of treatment of skin wounds.
