Abstract
A system for dental X-ray imaging includes an intra oral imaging plate. A tag is attached directly to the intra oral imaging plate. The tag attached directly to the intra oral imaging plate is configured to have tag information remotely read from the tag or the tag is configured to have tag information written to the tag. The tag information is configured to control a portion of the system adapted to perform at least one operation controlled by the tag information.
Claims19
A system for dental X-ray imaging comprising:
- an intra oral imaging plate;
- a tag configured to have tag information remotely read from the tag and configured to have tag information written to the tag, the tag attached directly to the image plate;
- and
- wherein the tag information is configured to control a portion of the system adapted to perform at least one operation controlled by the tag information;
- and
- wherein the tag information comprises tag information configured to control an X-ray device to determine if the image plate is correctly positioned relative to an anatomy of an object for examination, and to interrupt an imaging procedure if the image plate is incorrectly positioned.

- wherein the tag information comprises position information for the image plate with respect to an anatomy of an object examined, and is configured to control an X-ray device to determine if the image plate is correctly positioned relative to the anatomy of the object for examination, and to interrupt an imaging procedure if the image plate is incorrectly positioned.
