Abstract
A hemodynamic parameter (Hdp) monitoring system for diagnosing a health condition of a patient and for establishing Hdp marker values or Hdp surrogate marker values for purposes of comparison with Hdp values of a patient is provided. An Hdp monitor senses, measures, and records Hdp values exhibited by the patient during a basal or non-exposure period and furthermore Hdp values exhibited by the patient during or after an exposure period during which the patient is exposed to low-energy electromagnetic output signals. An electrically-powered generator is adapted to be actuated to generate said low-energy electromagnetic carrier output signals for exposing or applying to the patient such output signals during said exposure period.
Claims12
A hemodynamic parameter (Hdp) monitoring system for diagnosing a health condition of a patient, comprising:
- an Hdp monitor that measures and records Hdp values exhibited by the patient during (i) a non-exposure period and (ii) during an exposure period during which the patient is exposed to amplitude-modulated radio-frequency electromagnetic field (EMF) output signals, wherein the Hdp values comprise a pressure component, a flow component and a beat component,
- an electrically-powered generator to generate the amplitude-modulated radio-frequency EMF output signals for exposing or applying to the patient during the exposure period, comprising an amplitude modulation controller for controlling the amplitude of the amplitude-modulated radio-frequency EMF output signals, and
- a storage system comprising predetermined representative Hdp values from one or a plurality of surrogate patients pre-diagnosed with the poor health condition, which storage system is adapted to allow for comparison of the Hdp values of the patient from the (i) basal or non-exposure period and from (ii) during or after the exposure period, with the predetermined representative Hdp values from the one or a plurality of surrogate patients pre-diagnosed with the health condition.
A method of diagnosing a health condition of a patient, comprising the steps of:
- exposing a patient to amplitude-modulated radio-frequency electromagnetic field (EMF) output signals during an exposure period;
- during the exposure period, measuring and recording, by means of an Hdp monitoring system, Hdp values of a patient;
- during a non-exposure period, measuring and recording, by means of the Hdp monitoring system, the Hdp values of the patient;
- comparing the Hdp values of the patient from the non-exposure period and the exposure period with predetermined representative Hdp values from a non-exposure period and an exposure period from one or a plurality of surrogate patients pre-diagnosed to be healthy and/or from one or a plurality of surrogate patients pre-diagnosed with the health condition;
- and
- identifying the health condition in the patient;
- wherein the Hdp values comprise a pressure component, a flow component and a beat component.
