Abstract
A method of controlling electric power supplied to a heater includes controlling the electric power supplied to the heater by a first method until a temperature of the heater reaches an upper limit of a pre-heating temperature section; and controlling the electric power supplied to the heater by a second method to a target temperature that is higher than the upper limit, when the temperature of the heater reaches the upper limit.
Claims17
An aerosol generator comprising:
- a heater for generating aerosol by heating an aerosol generating material;
- and
- a controller for controlling electric power supplied to the heater,
- wherein the controller is configured to:
- control the electric power supplied to the heater by a first method until a temperature of the heater reaches an upper limit of a pre-heating temperature section, and
- control the electric power supplied to the heater by a second method until the temperature of the heater increases to a target temperature from the upper limit,
- wherein the first method is a pulse-width modulation (PWM) control method with a fixed output, and the second method is a proportional integral difference (PID) control method.
