A luminescent material represented by Formula 1:
- [A1nA23][B2][X1mX25] Formula 1
- wherein, in Formula 1,
- A1 is at least one of Li, Na, K, Cs, or Rb, and A2 is Cs,
- B is at least one of Cu, Ag, or Au,
- X1 and X2 are each independently at least one halogen;
- n is a real number satisfying 0<n≤0.9;
- and
- m is a real number satisfying 0<m≤0.9.

A method of preparing a luminescent material represented by Formula 1, the method comprising:
- providing onto a substrate a mixture including at least one of A2X2-containing precursors, at least one of BX2-containing precursors, at least one of A′X′-containing precursors, and a solvent;
- performing crystallization by adding an anti-solvent;
- and
- removing the solvent and the anti-solvent by thermal treatment:
- [A1nA23][B2][X1mX25] Formula 1
- wherein, in Formula 1,
- A1 is at least one of Li, Na, K, Cs, or Rb, and A2 is Cs,
- B is at least one of Cu, Ag, or Au,
- X1 and X2 are each independently at least one halogen;
- n is a real number satisfying 0<n≤0.9;
- and
- m is a real number satisfying 0<m≤0.9.
