Abstract
The present disclosure provides a system comprising a communication interface and computer for assigning a label to the biomolecule fingerprint, wherein the label corresponds to a biological state. The present disclosure also provides a sensor arrays for detecting biomolecules and methods of use. In some embodiments, the sensor arrays are capable of determining a disease state in a subject.
Claims22
A method of identifying a pattern of protein biomarkers from a biological fluid, wherein the method comprises:
- a. incubating a plurality of nanoparticles that differs from each other in at least one physicochemical property with the biological fluid from a subject in a disease state to allow biomolecule coronas to form on surfaces of the plurality of nanoparticles, wherein at least one of the plurality of nanoparticles comprises a magnetic core, and wherein the pattern of protein biomarkers differs based on the different physicochemical properties of the particles;
- b. isolating the plurality of nanoparticles and the surface-bound biomolecule coronas;
- and
- c. analyzing biomolecules of the biomolecule coronas by mass spectrometry to identify a relationship between the biomolecule coronas and a protein biomarker in the pattern of protein biomarkers associated with the disease state, wherein the analysis is performed at least in part using a computer.
