Third party-initiated social media posting

A method for generating a qualified authentic post within a social networking platform beginning with a single action user interface element activated by a requesting user other than the post author, the method comprising:

• displaying, by a computing device associated with a requesting user under the control of a requesting user social networking appication interacting with a social networking platform, a display comprising a user interface element associated with at least one target poster preconfigured by the social networking platform to, upon selection with a single action and without having required specification of any other post constraints or criteria by the requesting user at any step prior to selection, cause transmission of a request to the at least one target poster for a post of a qualified authentic post type comprising system-defined non-removable constraints including (a) a post of the qualified authentic post type can only be made in response to a request by a third party system and/or user other than the post author, at a time not specified by the post author, (b) a qualified authentic post must be made within a limited time period following the request, and (c) a qualified authentic post must contain video and/or photo content captured subsequent to the request;
• in response to the requesting user selecting the user interface element:
• under control of the at least one target poster social networking application interacting with the social networking platform, prompting and enabling the at least one target poster to submit a new post of the qualified authentic post type, containing newly captured video and/or photo content;
• receiving, by the social networking platform, from one of the at least one target posters, a new post made in response to said prompting and enabling the at least one target poster to submit a new post of the qualified authentic post type;
• and
• publishing, by the social networking platform, the new post to one or more users of the social networking platform comprising the requesting user, after the new post has been determined to satisfy the system-defined non-removable constraints of the qualified authentic post type by evaluation and/or enforcement of said constraints by the social networking platform.
