Diagramming chlid nodes with multiple parent nodes

A non-transitory computer-readable medium having computer-readable instructions stored thereon that are executable by a processor to perform or control performance of operations comprising:

• receiving source data that includes a plurality of nodes arranged in a directed acyclic graph (DAG) in which each child node of a set of child nodes of the plurality of nodes has multiple DAG parent nodes, the plurality of DAG parent nodes included in the plurality of nodes;
• converting the DAG to a tree in which each of the plurality of nodes has no more than one tree parent node;
• and
• displaying, based on the tree, a graphical diagram in which child graphical objects that represent child nodes that each has multiple DAG parent nodes are positioned in intersection areas of container graphical objects that represent the DAG parent nodes.

A system to display a graphical diagram, the system comprising:

• a processor;
• a non-transitory computer-readable medium communicatively coupled to the processor and having computer-readable instructions stored thereon that are executable by the processor to perform or control performance of operations comprising:
• receiving source data that includes a plurality of nodes arranged in a directed acyclic graph (DAG) in which each child node of a set of child nodes of the plurality of nodes has multiple DAG parent nodes, the plurality of DAG parent nodes included in the plurality of nodes;
• converting the DAG to a tree in which each of the plurality of nodes has no more than one tree parent node;
• and
• displaying, based on the tree, a graphical diagram in which child graphical objects that represent child nodes that each has multiple DAG parent nodes are positioned in intersection areas of container graphical objects that represent the DAG parent nodes.
