Intent-based networking using network change validation

A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing computer program code configured to cause an apparatus to:

• receive a request for a network change in a network that has been configured to satisfy an intent;
• determine, based on the intent, an intent parameter of the intent and a value of the intent parameter for the intent;
• receive, based on an execution of the network change, network status information from one or more network elements associated with the network change;
• determine, based on the network status information, a result of the network change on the network including a value of the intent parameter after execution of the network change;
• and
• determine, based on the value of the intent parameter for the intent and the value of the intent parameter after execution of the network change, whether the intent is still satisfied after the execution of the network change.

A method, comprising:

• receiving a request for a network change in a network that has been configured to satisfy an intent;
• determining, based on the intent, an intent parameter of the intent and a value of the intent parameter for the intent;
• receiving, based on an execution of the network change, network status information from one or more network elements associated with the network change;
• determining, based on the network status information, a result of the network change on the network including a value of the intent parameter after execution of the network change;
• and
• determining, based on the value of the intent parameter for the intent and the value of the intent parameter after execution of the network change, whether the intent is still satisfied after the execution of the network change.
