Software credential token process, software, and device

A method comprising:

• obtaining, at a mobile device, a biometric identifier from a user;
• requesting, from the mobile device, access to a resource by providing a software credential token and the biometric identifier, wherein the software credential token corresponds to a hardware credential token, the hardware credential token one of a set of hardware credential tokens that are used to access the resource;
• receiving, at the mobile device, an indication that access to the resource has been granted;
• after receiving the indication that access to the resource has been granted, receiving, at the mobile device, an indication that the access to the resource has been revoked;
• after receiving the indication that access to the resource has been revoked:
• re-obtaining, at the mobile device, a biometric identifier from a user;
• and
• re-requesting, from the mobile device, access to the resource by providing a software credential token and the re-obtained biometric identifier.

A mobile device comprising:

• one or more hardware processors;
• and
• storage media coupled to the one or more processing devices, the storage media including instructions which, when executed by the one or more hardware processors, cause the one or more hardware processors to:
• obtain a biometric identifier from a user;
• request access to a resource by providing a software credential token and the biometric identifier, wherein the software credential token corresponds to a hardware credential token, the hardware credential token one of a set of hardware credential tokens that are used to access the resource;
• receive an indication that access to the resource has been granted;
• after receiving the indication that access to the resource has been granted, receive an indication that the access to the resource has been revoked;
• after receiving the indication that access to the resource has been revoked:
• re-obtain a biometric identifier from a user;
• and
• re-request access to the resource by providing a software credential token and the re-obtained biometric identifier.
