Methods and apparatuses for handling uplink (re)transmission in NR-U

A user equipment (UE), comprising:

• one or more non-transitory computer-readable media having computer-executable instructions embodied therein;
• and
• at least one processor coupled to the one or more non-transitory computer-readable media, the at least one processor configured to execute the computer-executable instructions to:
• receive a dynamic grant for scheduling a first uplink (UL) resource and a second UL resource, the first UL resource starting before the second UL resource in time domain, the second UL resource indicated for a new transmission;
• determine whether the second UL resource is available for transmitting a first Medium Access Control (MAC) protocol data unit (PDU) when a transmission of the first MAC PDU on the first UL resource has failed;
• and
• in a case that the second UL resource is determined to be available for transmitting the first MAC PDU, transmit the first MAC PDU using the second UL resource.
