Methods and systems for interactive gaming

A computer program product embodied in a computer-readable storage device and comprising instructions that when executed by one or more processors cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:

• receiving, over a network, by a tournament system that includes one or more processors, an entrance request that identifies a gaming match from a user device that is associated with a user, the entrance request received in response to the user identifying or selecting the gaming match via a Graphical User Interface (GUI) of the user device from interactive gaming match content displayed on the GUI of the user device by the tournament system that identifies at least one of number of available player positions per team for the gaming match;
• sending, over the network, by the tournament system, a request to authenticate a user account associated with the user to an authentication service;
• and
• sending, over the network, by the tournament system, match population content to a game server associated with the gaming match after receiving, by the tournament system over the network, authentication of the user account from the authentication service, wherein the match population content includes the user as one of the at least one of the number of available player positions per team for the gaming match.

A system comprising:

• one or more processors;
• and
• one or more memory elements including instructions that when executed by the one or more processors cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:
• receiving, over a network, by a tournament system that includes one or more processors, an entrance request that identifies a gaming match from a user device that is associated with a user, the entrance request received in response to the user identifying or selecting the gaming match via a Graphical User Interface (GUI) of the user device from interactive gaming match content displayed on the GUI of the user device by the tournament system that identifies at least one of number of available player positions per team for the gaming match;
• sending, over the network, by the tournament system, a request to authenticate a user account associated with the user to an authentication service;
• and
• sending, over the network, by the tournament system, match population content to a game server associated with the gaming match after receiving, by the tournament system over the network, authentication of the user account from the authentication service, wherein the match population content includes the user as one of the at least one of the number of available player positions per team for the gaming match.
