Abstract
An apparatus for measuring a signal is provided. The apparatus for measuring a signal may include a sensor configured to generate pixel data representing a fingerprint image of an object by detecting light scattered or reflected from the object and a processor configured to acquire the fingerprint image of the object based on the pixel data and acquire a pulse wave signal based on the fingerprint image and the pixel data.

An apparatus for measuring blood pressure, the apparatus comprising:
- an fingerprint sensor configured to generate pixel data representing a fingerprint image of an object;
- a photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor configured to acquire a PPG signal from the object, the PPG sensor comprising:
- a plurality of light sources configured to emit light to the object;
- and
- a plurality of detectors arranged around the fingerprint sensor and configured to detect light scattered or reflected from the object;
- and
- a processor configured to:
- identify a feature point of the fingerprint image,
- control driving of the plurality of light sources and the plurality of detectors according to a position of the feature point, and
- obtain blood pressure using the PPG signal acquired by the PPG sensor.
