Device for mounting an object holder

A method of operating a device for mounting an object holder on a carrier for introducing objects into a cryostat, comprising:

• inserting the object holder into the carrier at an initial temperature and a bearing specification for a control device that provides voltage to a piezoelectric element to prevent a connection with the carrier, wherein a bearing specification for a mechanical connection that applies a force to the carrier is predetermined;
• and
• the control device adapting the voltage applied to the piezoelectric element as a function of the temperature according to a characteristic curve.

A method of operating a device for mounting an object holder on a carrier for introducing objects into a cryostat, comprising:

• actuating a piezoelectric element supported against the object holder or the carrier by applying a voltage to the piezoelectric element to cause an expansion of the piezoresistive element that results in a mechanical connection that applies a force to the object holder with the carrier using at least one clamping element.
