Abstract
A sample processing apparatus includes a pipette configured to dispense a sample or a reagent and an arm supporting the pipette. A camera is configured to capture an image of a tip end of the pipette and a container to which the sample or the reagent is dispensed. A controller is programmed to determine, based on the image, an adjustment value for the arm such that the pipette is inserted into the container without collision.

A sample processing apparatus comprising:
- a pipette configured to dispense a sample or a reagent;
- an arm supporting the pipette;
- a camera arranged to capture an image of a tip end of the pipette and an opening of a container to which the sample or reagent is dispensed, wherein a positional relationship between the camera and the pipette does not change;
- and
- a controller programmed to determine, based on the image, an adjustment value for the arm to insert the pipette into the container through the opening.
A sample processing apparatus comprising:
- a pipette configured to dispense a sample or a reagent;
- a collision sensor configured to detect a collision of the pipette with a container to which the sample or reagent is dispensed;
- a camera arranged to capture an image of a tip end of the pipette and an opening of the container, wherein a positional relationship between the camera and the pipette does not change;
- and
- a controller programmed to store in a storage the image in response to the collision sensor detecting the collision.
The sample processing apparatus of cairn 13, wherein
- the data packet further includes date and time of when the collision occurs.
