Abstract
A display device is provided and includes a display panel including; a first substrate, a lower electrode on the first substrate, a second substrate, an upper electrode on the second substrate, and liquid crystalline polymers with a striped structure and liquid crystal molecules disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate; a light source unit disposed at a side of the display panel and configured to emit incident light on the side of the display panel; and a light guided structure disposed between the side of the display panel and the light source unit, wherein the light guided structure has a grid-like structure.

A display device comprising:
- a display panel including;
- a first substrate,
- a lower electrode on the first substrate,
- a second substrate,
- an upper electrode on the second substrate, and
- liquid crystalline polymers with a striped structure and liquid crystal molecules disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate;
- a light source unit disposed at a side of the display panel and configured to emit incident light on the side of the display panel;
- and
- a light guided structure disposed between the side of the display panel and the light source unit,
- wherein the light guided structure has a grid-like structure, and the light source unit, the light guided structure and the display panel are aligned in a row.
