Abstract
Complexes containing a labeled polypeptide and an antibody, and the use of such complexes as research, diagnostic, and clinical tools, are described herein.
Claims17
An isolated polypeptide comprising the amino acid sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO:3, or comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:3 but with one or two amino acid deletions, additions, or substitutions within the N-terminal seven amino acids of SEQ ID NO:3.
A complex comprising:
- a polypeptide that comprises the amino acid sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO:3, or comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:3 but with one or two amino acid deletions, additions, or substitutions within the N-terminal seven amino acids of SEQ ID NO:3, and
- an antibody, wherein the antibody is selected from the group consisting of bevacizumab, rituximab, trastuzumab, alemtuzumab, atezolizumab, blinatumomab, brentuximab, cetuximab, denosumab, dinutuximab, ibritumomab, ipilimumab, nivolumab, obinutuzumab, ofatumumab, panitumumab, pembrolizumab, pertumumab, gemtuzumab, tositumomab, and muromonab.
A method for detecting a cell expressing on its surface a selected antigen, comprising:
- contacting the cell with a complex that comprises (a) a detectably labeled polypeptide comprising the sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO:3, or comprising the sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO:3 but with one or two amino acid deletions, additions, or substitutions within the N-terminal seven amino acids of SEQ ID NO:3, and (b) an antibody that binds selectively to the antigen, wherein the contacting is under conditions in which the antibody can bind to the antigen, and wherein the antibody is selected from the group consisting of bevacizumab, rituximab, trastuzumab, alemtuzumab, atezolizumab, blinatumomab, brentuximab, cetuximab, denosumab, dinutuximab, ibritumomab, ipilimumab, nivolumab, obinutuzumab, ofatumumab, panitumumab, pembrolizumab, pertumumab, gemtuzumab, tositumomab, and muromonab;
- and
- detecting the presence of the label on the cell.
