Abstract
One embodiment provides a method of controlling a payload temperature in in vitro diagnostics including: moving, using a track system, a plurality of carriers, along one or more paths between a plurality of testing stations, wherein the carrier is configured to hold one or more payloads, and limiting, using a temperature controlling device, temperature change of the one or more payloads, wherein each carrier is configured to hold one or more payloads and move the one or more payloads to one of the plurality of testing stations. Other aspects are described and claimed herein.
Claims19
A temperature control system for use in in vitro diagnostics comprising:
- a plurality of carriers that utilize a track system configured to provide one or more paths between a plurality of testing stations,
- wherein each carrier is configured to move one or more payloads to one of the plurality of testing stations and comprises a bracket attached to a top surface of the carrier, wherein each bracket is configured to hold the one or more payloads;
- a plurality of passive temperature controlling devices, wherein one of the plurality of passive temperature controlling devices is attached to the top surface of one of the plurality of carriers and surrounds a respective bracket, wherein the one of the plurality of passive temperature controlling devices is configured to limit temperature change of a respective payload held by the respective bracket;
- and
- a plurality of active temperature controlling devices, wherein one of the plurality of active temperature controlling devices is connected to one of the plurality of carriers and configured to surround a side wall of a respective payload above a respective bracket holding the respective payload, wherein the one of the plurality of active temperature controlling devices limits temperature change of the respective payload.
A temperature control system for use in in vitro diagnostics comprising:
- a plurality of carriers that utilize a track system configured to provide one or more paths between a plurality of testing stations,
- wherein each carrier is configured to hold one or more payloads and move the one or more payloads to one of the plurality of testing stations and comprises a bracket attached to a top surface of the carrier, wherein each bracket is configured to hold the one or more payloads;
- and
- a plurality of active temperature controlling devices, wherein one of the plurality of active temperature controlling devices is connected to one of the plurality of carriers and configured to surround a side wall of a respective payload above a respective bracket holding the respective payload, wherein the one of the plurality of active temperature controlling devices limits temperature change of the respective payload.
A method of controlling a payload temperature in in vitro diagnostics comprising:
- moving, using a track system, a plurality of carriers, along one or more paths between a plurality of testing stations, wherein the carrier is configured to hold one or more payloads,
- wherein each carrier is configured to move the one or more payloads to one of the plurality of testing stations and comprises a bracket attached to a top surface of the carrier, wherein each bracket is configured to hold one or more payloads, and
- limiting, using a respective temperature controlling device configured to surround a side wall of a respective payload above a respective bracket holding the respective payload, temperature change of the one or more payloads, wherein each carrier comprises a temperature controlling device attached to a top surface of a respective carrier and surrounding a respective bracket.
