Abstract
The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising a STT compound as an active ingredient for the prevention or treatment of Parkinson's disease. STT showed neuroprotective effect and apoptosis recovery effect in the Parkinson's disease cell model, restored the reduced motility in the MPTP animal model, and was shown to significantly protect dopamine cells, so it can be used for the prevention and treatment of Parkinson's disease.
Claims4
A method for treating Parkinson's disease in a subject in need of treatment, the method comprising administering to the subject a composition comprising STT (2-(5-Methyl-4-oxo-2-thioxo-1,3-thiazolidin-3-yl) ethanesulfonic acid) as an active ingredient, thereby treating Parkinson's disease in the subject.
A method for treating Parkinson's disease in a subject in need of treatment, the method comprising administering to the subject a composition comprising a DUSP10 protein or a polynucleotide encoding the DUSP10 protein as an active ingredient, thereby treating Parkinson's disease in the subject.
