Abstract
Welding headwear comprises a display operable to present images for viewing by a wearer of the welding headwear, and comprises circuitry operable to determine an identifier associated with a workpiece, retrieve, from memory, welding work instructions associated with the identifier, and generate the images for presentation on the display based on said work instructions.

A system comprising:
- welding headwear comprising:
- a display configured to present images for viewing by a wearer of said welding headwear;
- and
- a processor configured to:
- determine an identifier associated with a workpiece;
- retrieve, from memory, welding work instructions associated with said identifier, wherein different portions of said welding work instructions are associated with different viewing distances or angles, said different portions including a first portion and a second portion;
- determine a distance or an angle of said welding headwear relative to said workpiece;
- determine which of said first portion or said second portions of said welding work instructions is associated with said distance or said angle;
- and
- generate said images for presentation on said display based on said determined first or second portion of welding work instructions.
