Image forming system, image forming apparatus, and feeding apparatus

An image forming apparatus comprising:

• an accommodating tray configured to accommodate a recording material;
• a feeding rotation member configured to feed a recording material accommodated in the accommodating tray;
• a detection sensor configured to detect a recording material fed by the feeding rotation member;
• and
• a hardware processor configured to measure time from a predetermined timing until the detection sensor detects the recording material,
• wherein the hardware processor is further configured to classify a plurality of measured time data into a first group and a second group in accordance with a length of time, and predict a remaining life time of the feeding rotation member by using the time data included in either one of the first group and the second group.

A method of an image forming system comprising an image forming apparatus and an information processing apparatus connected to the image forming apparatus via a network, the image forming apparatus comprising an accommodating tray configured to accommodate a recording material, a feeding rotation member configured to feed a recording material accommodated in the accommodating tray, and a detection sensor configured to detect a recording material fed by the feeding rotation member, the method comprising:

• measuring, in the image forming apparatus, time from a predetermined timing until the detection sensor detects the recording material;
• receiving, in the information processing apparatus, time data obtained by a first hardware processor from the image forming apparatus;
• and
• classifying, in the information processing apparatus, a plurality of received time data into a first group and a second group in accordance with a length of time, and predicting a remaining life time of the feeding rotation member by using the time data included in either one of the first group and the second group.

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a computer program for causing a computer to execute each step in a method of an image forming system comprising an image forming apparatus and an information processing apparatus connected to the image forming apparatus via a network, the image forming apparatus comprising an accommodating tray configured to accommodate a recording material, a feeding rotation member configured to feed a recording material accommodated in the accommodating tray, and a detection sensor configured to detect a recording material fed by the feeding rotation member, the method comprising:

• measuring, in the image forming apparatus, time from a predetermined timing until the detection sensor detects the recording material;
• receiving, in the information processing apparatus, time data obtained by a first hardware processor from the image forming apparatus;
• and
• classifying, in the information processing apparatus, a plurality of received time data into a first group and a second group in accordance with a length of time, and predicting a remaining life time of the feeding rotation member by using the time data included in either one of the first group and the second group.
