A method for producing a tube segment and a tube for an evacuated tube transport system and a method for producing the tube segment.
Claims20
An evacuated tube transport system tube which is adapted and configured for near vacuum use, comprising a plurality of tube segments, wherein the tube segments have an exterior side and an interior side,
- wherein each tube segment is composed of a plurality of prefabricated steel tube wall parts,
- wherein the parts comprise an essentially quadrangular portion having an outwardly facing surface in the direction of the exterior of the tube segment and an inwardly facing surface in the direction of the interior of the tube segment,
- said portion having two tangential edges and two axial edges, wherein at least the axial edges are provided with flanges along one or both edges.
