Abstract
The present disclosure is drawn to microfluidic cellular membrane modification devices. In one example, a microfluidic cellular membrane modification device can include a microfluidic channel including a pumping portion and an electric field portion. An electrode pair can be positioned about the electric field portion. A bidirectional pump can be in fluid communication with the microfluidic channel at the pumping portion to move fluid backward and forward through the electric field portion.
Claims7
A microfluidic cellular membrane modification device, comprising:
- a microfluidic channel;
- an electrode pair positioned to generate an electric field within an electric field portion of the microfluidic channel;
- and
- a bidirectional pump integrated within a pumping portion of the microfluidic channel to move fluid backward and forward through the electric field portion, wherein the pumping portion is a different portion of the microfluidic channel from the electric field portion;
- wherein the microfluidic channel is positioned over the electrode pair and the microfluidic channel has a serpentine shape crossing the electrode pair multiple times to provide multiple electric field portions.
