Abstract
Facilitating generic feedback to enable reciprocity and over the air calibration for advanced networks (e.g., 4G, 5G, and beyond) is provided herein. Operations of a system can comprise selecting information to include in a channel state information feedback report based on a feedback instance. The operations can also comprise generating the channel state information feedback report as a function of channel statistics of channels. Further, the operations can comprise transmitting the channel state information feedback report to a network device of a communications network.
Claims20
A method, comprising:
- generating, by a user equipment comprising a processor, a channel state information feedback report based on an output of facilitating over-the-air calibration at network equipment without an increase of feedback overhead for different groups of antennas;
- and
- transmitting, by the user equipment, the channel state information feedback report to the network equipment based on a request for the channel state information feedback report received from the network equipment.
A system, comprising:
- a processor;
- and
- a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processor, facilitate performance of operations, comprising:
- configuring a channel state information report based on a result of facilitating over-the-air calibration at network equipment without an increase of feedback overhead for different groups of antennas;
- and
- sending the channel state information report to the network equipment based on receipt of a request for the channel state information report.
A non-transitory machine-readable medium, comprising executable instructions that, when executed by a processor, facilitate performance of operations, comprising:
- generating a feedback report with selected channel state information that is selected based on facilitating over-the-air calibration at network equipment without an increase in feedback overhead for different groups of antennas as compared to utilizing separate channels to convey the selected channel state information;
- and
- transmitting the feedback report to the network equipment based on a request for the feedback report received from the network equipment.
