Abstract
Based on captured image data, a detection unit detects a subject area that partially includes a subject to be detected. A control unit performs shooting control based on data corresponding to the subject area among the captured image data, and on a distribution of existence probabilities of the subject in the subject area. The distribution is stored in a memory. The control unit performs the shooting control so that a contribution of data corresponding to a position with a first existence probability is larger than a contribution of data corresponding to a position with a second existence probability that is lower than the first existence probability.

An apparatus, comprising:
- one or more processors;
- and
- a first memory coupled to the one or more processors storing instructions which, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to function as:

- and
- a control unit configured to perform shooting control based on data corresponding to the subject area among the captured image data, and on a distribution of existence probabilities of the subject in the subject area, the distribution being stored in a second memory, the control unit performing the shooting control so that a contribution of data corresponding to a position with a first existence probability is larger than a contribution of data corresponding to a position with a second existence probability that is lower than the first existence probability.
An apparatus, comprising:
- one or more processors;
- and
