Abstract
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide devices and systems including a halide perovskite and/or phosphor to produce and/or communicate using visible light, and the like.
Claims21
A material for simultaneously generating white light and transmitting data, the material comprising:
- halide perovskite nanocrystals that absorb a first light energy at a first wavelength and emit a second light energy at a second wavelength that is different from the first wavelength;
- and
- a phosphor mixed with the halide perovskite nanocrystals, the phosphor being configured to absorb the first light energy at the first wavelength and emit a third light energy at a third wavelength, that is different from the second wavelength,
- wherein a combination of the emitted second and third wavelengths and the first wavelength results in the white light, and a modulation of the first light energy is present in the generated white light.
1 more element
A film for simultaneously generating white light and transmitting data, the film comprising:
- a polymer;
- a phosphor;
- and
- halide perovskite nanocrystals encapsulated together with the phosphor in the polymer, wherein the halide perovskite nanocrystals absorb a first light energy at a first wavelength and emit a second light energy at a second wavelength that is different from the first wavelength,
- the phosphor is configured to absorb the first light energy at the first wavelength and emit a third light energy at a third wavelength, that is different from the second wavelength,
- wherein a combination of the emitted second and third wavelengths and the first wavelength results in the white light, and a modulation of the first light energy is present in the generated white light.
3 more elements
A film, comprising:
- a polymer;
- and
- CsPbBr3 nanocrystals encapsulated in the polymer, the CsPbBr3 nanocrystals absorb a first light energy at a first wavelength and emit a second light energy at a second wavelength that is different from the first wavelength, the second wavelength ranging from about 510 nanometers (nm) to 540 nm, the second light energy having a Full Width at Half Maximum (FWHM) of less than 35 nm and a Photo Luminescence Quantum Yield (PLQY) of greater than 80%.
