Abstract
Provided are a peptide having skin-whitening activity and use thereof, and a peptide composed of an amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1, a skin-whitening cosmetic composition including the peptide, a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating a hyperpigmentation disease, the pharmaceutical composition including the peptide, and a method of whitening the skin using the same, or a method of preventing, improving or treating a hyperpigmentation disease using the same.

A peptide consisting of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:
- 1, optionally wherein:
- (i) the N-terminus of the peptide is bound with any one protecting group selected from the group consisting of an acetyl group, a fluoreonylmethoxycarbonyl group, a formyl group, a palmitoyl group, a myristyl group, a stearyl group, and a polyethylene glycol (PEG), and/or (ii) the C-terminus of the peptide is bound with any one protecting group selected from the group consisting of an amino group (—NH2) and an azide group (—NHNH2).
