A method of treating an animal for infection with a pest, which method comprises administering to the animal an effective amount of a composition comprising (S)-5-ethynyl-anabasine and a A carrier, whereupon the animal is treated for infection with a pest.
A method of protecting a plant from a pest, which method comprises contacting the plant with a pesticidal amount of a composition comprising (S)-5-ethynyl-anabasine and a carrier, whereupon the plant is protected from the pest.
A method of treating an animal in need of modulation of acetylcholine receptors, which method comprises administering to the animal an acetylcholine receptor-modulating amount of a composition comprising (S)-5-ethynyl-anabasine and a carrier, whereupon acetylcholine receptors in the animal are modulated.
