Abstract
SMA actuators and related methods are described. One embodiment of an actuator includes a base; a plurality of buckle arms; and at least a first shape memory alloy wire coupled with a pair of buckle arms of the plurality of buckle arms. Another embodiment of an actuator includes a base and at least one bimorph actuator including a shape memory alloy material. The bimorph actuator attached to the base.

A buckler module tilt OIS assembly comprising:
- a top buckler assembly, configured to provide a yaw axis motion for tilt capability, comprising a housing with a top spring, a top auto focus (AF) carriage and a yaw tilt sub-assembly;
- a bottom buckler assembly configured to provide a pitch axis motion for tilt capability;
- and
- a flexible sensor circuit to provide connections to an image sensor.

- a top buckler assembly configured to provide yaw axis motion for tilt suppression capability;
- and
- a bottom buckler assembly, configured to provide pitch axis motion for pitch tilt suppression capability, includes a housing with a bottom spring, a bottom AF carriage, and a pitch tilt sub-assembly.
