Abstract
Dry thawing systems and devices for thawing biological substances are provided herein. Methods for thawing biological substances are also provided.
Claims25
A method for thawing an enclosed biological, the method comprising:
- receiving the enclosed biological substance in a dry thawing device comprising a heating cushion and a heater;
- measuring a temperature of the heating cushion;
- measuring a temperature of the enclosed biological substance;
- determining a weight of the enclosed biological substance;
- and
- controlling a temperature generated by the heater based upon the measured temperatures and the weight.

- determining a weight of the enclosed biological substance;
- determining a temperature of the enclosed biological substance;
- determining a temperature of at least a portion of a heating assembly within a thawing device;
- and
- controlling the temperature of the enclosed biological substance based upon the determined temperatures and weight.
