Abstract
Methods and systems are disclosed that, in some aspects, provide an opening mechanism comprising an interior and an exterior door handle and sensors to detect movement of each door handle. A door position sensor may be provided. An alarm module for generating an alarm may be connected to at least one of the sensors. A method may include receiving a door handle actuation signal, determining whether the door handle actuation signal is from an inside door handle or an outside door handle and performing a function. One or more methods include determining an event, including an attempted entry, a forced entry and an incomplete entry.
Claims28
An apparatus comprising:
- one or more processors;
- and
- memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the apparatus to:
- receive, from one or more sensor devices, sensor data indicating actuation of one or more handles of an entry point;
- determine, based on the received sensor data, that the actuation of the one or more handles matches an actuation pattern;
- and
- cause, based on the actuation pattern, modification of an alarm state.
A method comprising:
- receiving, from one or more sensor devices, sensor data indicating actuation of one or more handles of an entry point;
- determining, based on the received sensor data, that the actuation of the one or more handles matches an actuation pattern;
- and
- causing, based on the actuation pattern, modification of an alarm state.
A non-transitory, computer-readable medium storing instructions that, when executed, cause:
- receiving, from one or more sensor devices, sensor data indicating actuation of one or more handles of an entry point;
- determining, based on the received sensor data, that the actuation of the one or more handles matches an actuation pattern;
- and
- causing, based on the actuation pattern, modification of an alarm state.
A system comprising:
- one or more sensor devices configured to send sensor data indicating actuation of one or more handles of an entry point;
- and
- an apparatus comprising:
- one or more processors;
- and
- memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the apparatus to:
- receive, from the one or more sensor devices, the sensor data;
- determine, based on the received sensor data, that the actuation of the one or more handles matches an actuation pattern;
- and
- cause, based on the actuation pattern, modification of an alarm state.
