Abstract
The invention relates to methods and compositions for identifying and selecting maize plants with enhanced resistance to northern leaf blight. Maize plants generated by the methods of the invention are also a feature of the invention.
Claims12
A recombinant DNA construct comprising a polynucleotide operably linked to at least one heterologous regulatory sequence, wherein said polynucleotide encodes a polypeptide capable of conferring or enhancing resistance to northern leaf blight, wherein the polypeptide has an amino acid sequence of at least 95% sequence identity when compared to SEQ ID NO:
- 95 or 97.
A plant comprising a polynucleotide encoding a heterologous polypeptide having at least 95% sequence identity to SEQ ID NO:
- 95 or 97, wherein the polynucleotide is operably linked to a heterologous regulatory sequence, and wherein the polypeptide confers or enhances resistance to northern leaf blight.
