Temperature monitor for a conveyor belt

A temperature monitor for use on a conveyor belt, the temperature monitor comprising:

• a first wall and a second wall, wherein the first wall and the second wall are generally parallel to one another;
• a first anchor and a second anchor, wherein the first wall is attached to the first anchor at a first end of the first wall and the first wall is attached to the second anchor at a second end of the first wall, wherein the second wall is attached to the first anchor at a first end of the second wall and the second wall is attached to the second anchor at a second end of the second wall;
• and
• a temperature deformation mechanism defined between the first wall and the second wall, wherein the temperature deformation mechanism comprises a plunger mechanism and a temperature deformation material, wherein the temperature deformation material is configured to restrict the movement of the plunger mechanism until a predetermined temperature of the conveyor belt is reached.

A temperature monitor for use on a conveyor belt, the temperature monitor comprising:

• a first wall and a second wall, wherein the first wall and the second wall are generally parallel to one another;
• a first anchor and a second anchor, wherein the first wall is attached to the first anchor at a first end of the first wall and the first wall is attached to the second anchor at a second end of the first wall, wherein the second wall is attached to the first anchor at a first end of the second wall and the second wall is attached to the second anchor at a second end of the second wall;
• and
• a temperature deformation mechanism defined between the first wall and the second wall, wherein the temperature deformation mechanism is altered in an instance in which a predetermined temperature is reached,
• wherein the temperature monitor is configured to be placed on an exterior of the conveyor belt or within a top cover of the conveyor belt.
